FlightLine No. 25-14 Postcards from the Ala Doble Flying Ranch
Chuck with his latest restoration — a beautifully done 1937 Waco ACG-7. (All photos by Jerri Bergen)
Paso Robles was an overnight stop on the way to Esparto and Walt Bowe’s invite-only Ala Doble fly-in. Among the highlights: a Waco ASO in 1926 Northwest Airways airmail livery, a Stearman dressed as a Varney Air Lines workhorse, and a Canadair T-33 muscled into the hangar by hand. Fuller coverage will appear later in the AAHS Journal.
