Michel Detroyat’s Caudron C-460 silenced all the critics when qualifying
for the 1936 Greve Trophy Race. Detroyat’s slowest lap was faster
than
anything that had ever gone around a closed circuit in the United States.
His fastest lap was 273.473 mph.
