Forum of Flight
Monte-Copter Model 12, N68P, c/n 1, during a flight demonstration at an unidentified date and location, though most likely in the Northwest U.S. as the factory was Seattle, Wash., based. Powered by two 160 shp Continental 140 air compressors (license-built Turboméca Palouste). These engines were mounted on each side of the fuselage and supplied compressed air to the rotor-tip nozzles to turn the rotor. The aircraft is currently owned by the Classic Rotors Museum in Ramona, California.

or unusual photographs. Negatives, slides, black-and-white or
color photos with good contrast may be used if they have
smooth surfaces. Digital submissions are also acceptable, but
please provide high resolution images (>3,000 pixels wide).
Please include as much information as possible about the
image such as: date, place, msn (manufacturer’s serial
number), names, etc., plus proper photo credit (it may be from
your collection but taken by another photographer).
