Boeing "Hornet Shuttle," NR397E, was used by Boeing and supported by the USAAC in refueling experiments in 1929 that included several coast-to-coast flights between Oakland and New York with refueling occurring over Elko, Nev., Cheyenne, Wy., and Cleveland, Ohio.
